After breakfast at the hotel, departure by coach for the excursion to Mount Vesuvius. We start the ascent of this famous volcano with a local shuttle (from the parking lot) up to 1000 meters altitude (round trip). From here you can already enjoy a splendid view of the northern side of Monte Somma, the top of the ancient volcano. We continue our climb but this time on foot, to reach the crater (ca. 20 minutes walk, provide good shoes). After lunch departure for Pompeii, a Roman city destroyed by the violent eruption of Vesuvius in 79 B.C. Meeting with our local guide who will let us relive the moving history of this flourishing city that remained crystallized before the eruption, when a rain of ashes and lapilli enveloped everything: houses, inhabitants, streets, public buildings and everyday objects, stopping everything in a terrible snapshot visible today. We will visit the thermal baths, the Roman Forum and the Temple of Apollo, the Way of Abundance and the House of Fauno (entrance included to the Excavations). Return to hotel in late afternoon for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast at the hotel, from the hotel parking we will reach the port of Sorrento. From there we will set sail for the guided day trip to Capri. The sea caves, the cliffs with extraordinary shapes, the green of the vegetation on the steep rock walls, the incomparable views, the mix of nature, art culture and worldliness make Capri the most desired and dreamed of the islands. We will reach Anacapri with a local minibus, where we will visit Villa San Michele with its beautiful gardens and breathtaking views. We will return to Capri for lunch. In the afternoon, after a pleasant walk in the gardens of Augustus (entrance included), we can walk on the famous “Piazzetta”, then return by boat to Sorrento. Free time in Sorrento for shopping. Return to hotel late afternoon. Dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, we will go by bus to discover the Amalfi Coast, one of the most beautiful routes that we can dream: high cliffs overlooking the sea, charming coves and small bays, terraced gardens dotted with citrus, Vineyards and olive trees, but also high fashion shops and workshops of the artisans make this stretch of coast one of the most loved destinations in the world… We will visit Positano, one of the most characteristic towns on the Amalfi coast with its postcard-perfect landscape, and Amalfi, the oldest of the four maritime republics, where we can visit its splendid cathedral with its imposing staircase and the majolica covered bell tower (entrance included). Lunch in Amalfi. In the afternoon departure for Ravello one of the pearls of the Amalfi Coast. Situated on a cliff 350 meters above sea level, it offers an exceptional panorama of Maiori, Minori and the entire Gulf of Salerno. Visit of Villa Rufolo (entrance included), splendid and elegant villa, with its wonderful belvedere: a garden that faces east and offers a beautiful view over the entire area of the Costiera. Return to hotel. Dinner and overnight.

Breakfast at the hotel. This morning, we take the road to Naples. Dominated by the presence of Vesuvius, Naples is a city with disarming beauty, which raptures the senses, with its perfumes and views, it is history and art, but it is also an atmosphere that envelops you and accompanies you through alleys and neighborhoods to discover baroque buildings and churches, Courtyards and alleys. A local guide will show you the treasures of the historic centre, the living heart of Naples: Piazza del Plebiscito, the Royal Palace, the Maschio Angioino, the Castel dell’Ovo, the Lungomare di Mergellina. Lunch with pizza menu. In the afternoon we will go to the National Archaeological Museum of Naples. Considered one of the oldest museums in Europe, it exhibits ancient works, archaeological finds and paintings of extraordinary level. Admission and reservation included. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, departure in the direction of Paestum. Stop at a buffalo farm, visit of the estate and tasting of buffalo mozzarella. Continue to Paestum, one of the most important archaeological sites of Magna Graecia, known as Poseidonia, in honor of the god Poseidon, between historical places, unspoiled nature and the inevitable buffalo mozzarella. After lunch, with a local guide we will discover the magnificent archaeological area of Paestum with the temple of Hera, the one of Neptune extraordinarily preserved and that of Ceres and its Archaeological Museum (entrance included). Return to hotel for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast at the hotel, we will leave for Herculaneum to visit the famous excavations. Like nearby Pompeii, Herculaneum was overtaken by the eruption of 79 A.D. of Vesuvius, but to bury the city was a thick cover of mud and other volcanic materials that sealed off a great variety of buildings, Statues and objects from the daily life of its inhabitants that have come down to us in perfect condition. Typical lunch. In the afternoon, transfer by bus to Sorrento. Bathed by the sun and perched on a terrace overlooking the sea, Sorrento will charm you for its breathtaking views, for its colorful gardens, for the terraces of lemons and for its cuisine. Free afternoon for relaxing in the gardens of the “Villa Comunale” or to go shopping in the characteristic alleys full of small shops and artisan shops of the historic center. Tasting of a homemade ice cream in the city center. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
