Itinerary
Welcome at the Ciampino Airport of Naples by our guide who will be with the group for the duration of the tour. Departure by coach Granturismo towards the south in the direction of the region of Cosenza. Accommodation in hotel, dinner and overnight.
After breakfast, departure by bus to Paola, a town overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea and surrounded by beautiful mountain landscapes. We will visit the birthplace of the Patron Saint of Calabria, transformed into a chapel and sanctuary (free entrance), which is located in the hilly and high part of the city just outside the inhabited center. After lunch along the road, we reach Tropea, the Pearl of the Tyrrhenian. Considered one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, it is a charming seaside resort capable of surprising and enchanting built on the edge of a promontory that reflects itself in the crystal clear sea of the Costa degli Dei. Splendid the historic center. Tasting of typical products. In the evening, accommodation in hotels in the area of Vibo Valentia; dinner and overnight.
Breakfast in hotel and departure for Reggio Calabria, one of the most beautiful cities of Calabria, lying on the strait of Messina and tip of the boot of Italy. Visit of the Falcomatà promenade, one of the most beautiful seaside walks in Italy, the Aragonese Castle and the National Archaeological Museum that houses the Bronzes of Riace , found in the seabed of Riace. Continue to Gerace, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, perched on a cliff with an incredible view of the Ionian Sea and the territory of Locride, where you can breathe a medieval air. Transfer by small train from the coach parking lot to the cathedral of Gerace A/R included. Return to hotel, dinner and overnight.
Breakfast in the hotel and departure for Serra San Bruno, small mountain village in the heart of the Serre Park, surrounded by dense beech, fir and oak woods famous for the Certosa, the first monastery of the order of the Carthusians. The Charterhouse is a place of silence and prayer, where monks live in seclusion and follow an austere and rigorous rule. It is not possible to visit the interior of the monastery, but you can access the museum of the monastery (entrance included), which tells the history and life of the monks through photos and objects. Lunch at a farm. In the afternoon we reach Pizzo Calabro, an ancient fishing village perched on a promontory of tuff along the Costa degli Dei. Walk in the old town…. Tasting of the famous homemade ice cream from Pizzo: «il Tartufo», hazelnut ice cream with a heart of melted bitter chocolate, all covered in chocolate powder! Return to hotel; dinner and overnight.
Breakfast and departure for Squillace, medieval village rich in history and art overlooking the homonymous gulf of the Ionian coast. Visit the historic center with the Norman Castle of the Borgia (outside), the Norman Cathedral and the workshops of local potters where you can see the rare masters of clay at work in their workshops. We will then reach Roccelletta di Borgia small village suspended in time, immersed among enchanted olive groves and green hills that stretch towards the clear waters of the Ionian Sea, to discover the Archaeological Park of the Roman colony of Scolacium, inside which you will find the remains of the imposing Basilica della Roccelletta, the theatre and the amphitheater (entrance included). Lunch. In the afternoon visit of the Mediterranean Biodiversity Park in Catanzaro and MUSMI (admission included), Military Historical Museum dedicated to the «Catanzaro Brigade», which houses memorabilia, weapons and uniforms related to a period from the nineteenth century to the Second World War. Dinner and overnight in the area of Catanzaro.
After breakfast at the hotel, departure for Le Castella small tourist resort near Capo Rizzuto island, in the heart of the Saracen Coast and visit of the Aragonese Castle (admission included) Standing majestically on an island connected to the mainland by a thin strip of sand. Continue to Crotone, ancient city that was for a long time the most important center of Magna Grecia. Visit of the old town, the archaeological museum (entrance included) and the promontory of Capo Colonna. Lunch along the road. In the afternoon we will visit the small town of Santa Severina, on a tuff spur. The old town is very small but rich and you can visit it in a short time. Hotel accommodation, dinner and overnight stay in the region of Cosenza.
Breakfast and departure for Altomonte, medieval village at 496 meters above sea level, with a splendid view of the mountains of Pollino, Sila, the plain of Sibari and the Ionian Sea. The shape of its old town is reminiscent of an Arab city, with narrow alleys and steep stairs (expect 15 minutes walk to reach the center). The village is developed around the church of Santa Maria della Consolazione (entrance included), which represents the best example of Gothic-Anjou art in Calabria with its facade adorned by a large radial rose window. Visit of a liquor factory and tasting. Lunch. In the afternoon departure for the region of Naples. Accommodation in hotel, dinner and overnight.

Our services start at the airport in Italy where you will land coming from your country. At the Arrivals Terminal you will meet our tour guide who will follow the group throughout the Tour and board a Gran Turismo coach with your fellow travellers.
Each of our tours is designed to offer a balanced combination between guided tours with our guides or local guides and moments of absolute freedom to spend time in autonomy, Whether you want to relax or go shopping, it’s up to you. For any advice on what to do you can always ask our guide.
Our trips are not age-based or age-restricted. The only caution is for the little ones, whose minimum age recommended to participate from 12 years old in relation to the fact that the tour includes walking, bus travel and museum entrances.
If you have allergies and/or intolerances to particular types of food, it is absolutely necessary to report this after booking, indicating your details and your reservation number.
