Arrival of the participants in late morning at the airport of Milan and reception by our guide who will be with the group for the duration of the tour. Transfer by bus to the center of Milan. Lunch in a restaurant. In the afternoon with a local guide we will visit the main monuments of the “capital of fashion”, finance and industry: the Sforzesco Castle (outside), the Museum of ancient art and the Pinacoteca; the Cathedral (entrance included), the largest Gothic cathedral in Italy and symbol of the city, made of white pink marble, the Teatro alla Scala, one of the most famous opera houses in the world and its museum… Accommodation in the area of Baveno, on Lake Maggiore.Dinner and overnight stay.

Breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the pier for departure by boat for the guided excursion of a day to the famous Borromean Islands, a real paradise all to discover. First of all we will discover the Isola Bella with its imposing baroque palace surrounded by an Italian garden arranged on ten terraces and adorned with fountains, statues, artificial caves and rare plants. Guided tour of the Palace (entrance included). After a pleasant walk in this wonderful garden, our boat will take us for lunch to the island of fishermen considered among the most picturesque corners of Lake Maggiore. In the afternoon we will head to Isola Madre, the largest of the three islands where you can visit with a guide the palace and its beautiful English botanical garden known throughout the world for its unique collections of exotic flowers, rare plants and secular trees… Return to hotel for dinner and overnight.

Breakfast at the hotel and departure for the small lake of Orta, an authentic gem nestled between the green Alps and vast hill forests. Transfer by train from the parking lot to the centre of Orta. Visit of Orta San Giulio, considered one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, with its narrow and picturesque streets that often lead to panoramic points, lined by elegant palaces, porticoes, villas and local shops. Crossing round trip to the small island of San Giulio with the monastery Mater Ecclesiae, female Benedictine abbey of cloister that today welcomes tourists all year… Lunch in Orta. In the afternoon, departure for Pallanza, an ancient village of Roman origin, today a renowned tourist center full of hotels, villas and parks. Guided tour of Villa Taranto, whose extraordinary gardens are known all over the world for their beauty and for the richness of species of plants and flowers even rare from around the world. Entrance included to Villa Taranto. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer by bus to Pallanza, an ancient village of Roman origin, which is today a renowned tourist center full of hotels, villas in art nouveau style and parks. Return to the hotel for lunch and then according to the flight times transfer by bus to Milan airport.
