Itinerary

Arrival of the group in the centre of Florence. Accommodation in hotel, dinner and overnight.

Breakfast at the hotel. Full day dedicated to the discovery of this city, a true open-air museum rich in architectural masterpieces and works of art unique in the world. An itinerary on the traces of the works of the greatest artistic genius of the Renaissance: Michelangelo Buonarroti that will allow us to admire, in addition to the David, other masterpieces exhibited in the city. We will visit places related to his memory, which will allow us to retrace the milestones of his artistic career: the church of Santa Croce that houses the tomb of Michelangelo; the Casa Buonarroti Museum, the residence that belonged to the artist’s family, a true temple dedicated to memory and the work of genius where you can admire the youth masterpieces; the Opera Museum of the Cathedral where is preserved the famous Bandini Pietà. Lunch on visit. In the late afternoon return to hotel for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast at the hotel, transfer by bus in the company of a local guide to Piazzale Michelangelo and then to the Galleria dell’Accademia district. After admiring the splendid panorama of the city from Piazzale Michelangelo, visit the Accademia gallery. The Gallery today preserves, in addition to the David, and some of the most beautiful works of Michelangelo: the Prisons, San Matteo and the Pietà di Palestrina, also a magnificent collection of paintings, works by great masters. Lunch during the visit. In the afternoon, guided tour to discover the famous Medici Chapels, burial place of the Medici family and the Church of San Lorenzo, the parish church of the Medici family, rebuilt by Brunelleschi from 1424, in the style of the first Renaissance. The greatest artists participated in its decoration.
After leaving the chapels, we will visit the Basilica of San Lorenzo. During the visit you can admire the exterior of the Palazzo Medici Riccardi, the first residence of the Medici family. Return to hotel, dinner and overnight.

Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning guided tour of the Uffizi Galleries, one of the most famous museums in the world that houses an extraordinary collection of ancient sculptures and paintings coming mostly from the private collection of the Medici family. Today, the halls are not only exhibited masterpieces of the Italian Renaissance, with the best collection in the world of works of the Florentine Renaissance, but also masters of the German, Flemish, Dutch and French tradition. After lunch we will head to another important museum in Florence: the Bargello Museum. Dedicated to sculpture and decorative arts, the National Museum of Bargello houses, in the oldest public building in Florence, the most important collection in the world of Italian sculpture of the Renaissance. It preserves in its collections important works by Michelangelo, such as the Bacchus, the Apollo, the Tondo Pitti and the Bruto. In the late afternoon, return to hotel for dinner and overnight.

Where does the journey begin?

Our services start at the airport in Italy where you will land coming from your country. At the Arrivals Terminal you will meet our tour guide who will follow the group throughout the Tour and board a Gran Turismo coach with your fellow travellers.

Will I have free time during the trip?

Each of our tours is designed to offer a balanced combination between guided tours with our guides or local guides and moments of absolute freedom to spend time in autonomy, Whether you want to relax or go shopping, it’s up to you. For any advice on what to do you can always ask our guide.

Are there age limits for travelling?

Our trips are not age-based or age-restricted. The only caution is for the little ones, whose minimum age recommended to participate from 12 years old in relation to the fact that the tour includes walking, bus travel and museum entrances.

I have any food intolerance how can I do?

If you have allergies and/or intolerances to particular types of food, it is absolutely necessary to report this after booking, indicating your details and your reservation number.
